NOT BELONGING

NOT BELONGING

So, you think you are part of a minority.
The one with no home, no job, and no food.
Did it ever occur to you that all this is just a replication?
A replication transferred to a different system.
Yes, a different system.
I have a home, a job, and food on my table.
But I’m excluded from the people around me.
I’m single, always alone, and part of a community of singles.
We hardly see each other.
Most times, our eyes don’t meet.
And if they do, you see a stare blank—
No recognition, no togetherness.
A stare, which makes you wonder.
What do we have in common?
Why is there such a feeling of separateness?
A feeling of not belonging.
